Simple Beauty 3 by LinnFeyling Simple Beauty 3 by LinnFeyling
This is actually just a excersise. I have concentraded so much on watercolor that I needed to draw a little again. And the best way is to pick up on hair practice right where I left it! This is the first one of many that I started. The keyword for these is "less is more"

(This is a crappy scan. A better picture will come soon)

uhmm this is my first critique ever
i'm not really experienced in art
but i just want to tell you something about this piece
the drawing is amazingly gorgeous
and the face looks so realistic and pretty
and the hair is so amazing! but there is one thing bothering me the hair doesn't fit with the face its just too clear i think you need to shade the hair a little bit or blend it its like the effect when you blur a drawing of a face and then drawing hair with binary pen (pixel pen) but overall its gorgeous
What do you think?
The Artist thought this was FAIR
5 out of 5 deviants thought this was fair.

Awesome shine and reflectio you worked out on the brade!
I realize, that you used a totally different technique on the face in profile, than on the hair. It makes the picture somehow unsettled what I find a pitty.
I could imagine, that it would help to keep your keyword for the skin: less is more, and just make more rudimentary shadings. Otherwise, you need to make soft blendings in the hair and go over it with lines afterwards, I think... :)
A great practise all in all! Well done, keep going!
